Developer Urban & Civic were this week granted planning permission by Huntingdonshire District Council, to build 2,800 homes at the new Wintringham Park development, next to Loves Farm, St Neots.
Plans we first mooted as part of Huntingdonshire’s 2009 Adopted Core Strategy and was part of the 2010 St Neots Eastern Expansion Urban Design Framework. An application to transform the area was subsequently brought by Urban&Civic and trusts associated with Nuffield College, Oxford.
The masterplan features space for two primary schools incorporating Early Years Provision and 1,450 sqm of community facilities. These include sports changing rooms, play areas, mutli-use games areas, a skateboard park, wildlife habitats and allotments.
Tim Lovett, MD of Lovett Sales & Lettings said "We wholeheartedly welcome this further supply of residential units to the West Cambs area, and hope the increased levels of housing stock to the market will help alleviate the pressure currently being felt locally, whereby demand for homes far outweighs supply - pushing up prices".
Lovett continued "Nevertheless we also feel it is crucial for the developer and local authority to ensure St Neots will have a suitable infrastructure in place to support the development. It's fair to say we are all desparate for the town to thrive as a result of this expansion, not suffer due to poor pre-planning".
Construction of the first homes are Wintringham Park is due to start in Autumn, 2018.

"From the professional photos to the use of a dashboard the entire service offered by Lovett Sales & Lettings was exceptional. We used them several times over the years as they sold several properties for us and we also used them for managing our letting and we also received a friendly, competent and professional service. Thank you Tim, David & team."
