The Queen’s Speech, outlining the government’s proposals for the next two years, has confirmed a pledge to introduce a ban on letting agents’ fees levied on tenants in England.
No specific timescales have been issued for implementation, as yet. As an Agent, we are disappointed the option of a 'fees cap' wasn't considered instead. However we will be monitoring the development of this bill, and will engage with our exisiting tenants and landlords in the coming months, to discuss the full implications of this.
