Last month, two of our intrepid Directors slipped on their lycra and helmets, and cycled across 4 countries in 4 days, in the process raising over £3,500.00 for the MacMillan Woodlands Centre, Huntingdon.
Tim Lovett and Anthony Charters set off from Greenwich on Thursday 21stJuly, and aside from a brief respite on the Dover-Calais ferry, used their pedal power to cycle 300 long miles to Amsterdam.
“Neither of us are particularly accomplished cyclists, and we really wanted to fundraise doing something that would push us to our limits – and it certainly did that! Our slow recovery since the ride has been a constant source of amusement amongst colleagues, with the office stairs proving a particular hindrance to us!
Jess Levin, Macmillan Fundraising Manager said “It’s been great watching them over the weekend (on social media) take on such a huge challenge. The money they’ve raised for Macmillan will make a huge difference to our new Woodlands Appeal, and will pay for the purchase of two more much needed chemotherapy chairs.”
"As a landlord I have always felt their service to be very good and informative and would definitely recommend them."
