The school summer holidays are often seen as the quietest time of year in the property industry.
As a vast proportion of the UK’s population make a dash to the coast or jump on a plane to chase the sun the market goes quiet.
Many people thinking of selling their homes wait until September before calling in agents to give them valuations.
However, there’s a very strong case for making plans for your property while the sun shines and before the back to school rush.
We always recommend people call us in before September. Why? Well to get your property ready for market isn’t a five minute job.
To do it properly, like we do at Lovett Sales & Lettings, takes a little bit more time. A professional photographer needs to visit and capture your home in its best light.
Floor plans and accurate descriptions need to be drawn up and uploaded on the all powerful property portals. Interested buyers on our database need to be notified. Do all of this before September and your property will have an edge over others.
By having your property ready to be marketed from the beginning of September you will be a few weeks ahead of people putting their homes on the market after the summer break.
This can be the difference between your home standing out or being just one of many hitting a crowded market once the kids have gone back to school.
Please feel free to give us a call today and beat the post holiday sales rush.
